There was a young woman who lived with lived with her mother. The young woman had a hamster that she’d had as a class pet for her elementary students. At the end of the year she kept it at home. Early one morning the mother came RUNNING down the hall. The hamster had escaped and was climbing up the curtains in the mother’s room. The the young woman grabbed a case with a lid and went to catch it. The hamster hid behinds shelves and dressers. There were many places to hide because the mother had A LOT of stuff in her room. The young woman piled stuff on the mother’s bed in an effort to get to the hamster. After about ten minutes the young woman caught the hamster and put it back in the cage. The young woman and the mother found out how the hamster escaped and fixed it so that wouldn’t happen again. Then the young woman said to the mother that the hamster should have been gone because the hamster bit her when the young woman changed the bedding in her cage. At the time the mother had said that the hamster would be fine and not do that again. The young woman said two things: 1)If the hamster escaped to the mother’s room again she young woman would not catch it; and 2)The hamster had to go. The mother did not come to the defense of the hamster. This time, she agreed.
